CW: Trauma Abuse
Page 12. It's difficult to not be affect from our past, and let it take over our emotions of today. We can easily blame ourselves for things that are clearly not even our own fault. Trauma can run deep.
This is a fictional story, but the trauma in this comic is real. From my past and experiences, I'm using this comic as a healing tool myself as well.
Showing one of the painful nights of abuse with an ex-step dad.
-also, side note. Kitsu is actually a great friend of mine. They just let me use their sona to be a bad guy right here.

That last panel hits home hard. But instead of step-dad, it was my mother choking me with words that I will always remember that she loved saying when she "Lost control" of her temper. "I brought you into this world I can take you out."
Love your art work, but that last panel really hit home. I hope this doesn't trigger you with the type up.
On the other hand nice art work, and shading.

Yeah. One of the good things about the internet is that we can find more common ground than we thought. And help support one another when needed. My folks got pretty bad at times. Occasionally to the point of my grandparents threatening to turn them in over how they treated me. My dad physically attacked me once cause the computer was taking longer than he wanted for a file to save, and I ended up having to grab a plexiglass pepper grinder to fend him off... I moved in with my grandparents after that. They helped me get my own house after I tried going to college (it didn't work out, but I tried). To all who go thorough this stuff, know that there are those of us who've been there, and that we will try to lend you what strength and moral support that we can.
I'm terrible with words at times and rarely comment, but felt I should say something. I never had to endure anything like what's depicted here, I just wanted to say you and people who have been in similar situations are insanely strong. Keep on trucking on and may the next day always be brighter!
Each day is another day to bring joy and happiness to others. Spread love and kindness.
I do not dwell on the scars of the past but rather let them serve as a reminder to be kind and protect those who can't defend for themselves.
Love is a beautiful thing the more we share the more it goes around. <3
