**Giggles!**
Back in the 1990s, I went to SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), dreaming of being either a character designer or a comic book artist. I found out that I was pretty good at drawing, better at inking, which I loved, and even better at writing stories for comics or just to post for mature adult audiences, very much like my Mom. Mom wrote 20+ books in 30 years with perhaps a dozen or more books that were never published and even a ton of stories that she published in various magazines. While at SCAD, I designed a few logos for my studio that I dreamed of and still dream of today called Memory Awake. For a while, I worked out of the trailer for a while and then later moved into town here in Savannah, Georgia, while working for the Firm that most of y'all know through my journals. According to my Big Boss and good friend, he thinks I'm legendary! Perhaps ...
Mom was the one who encouraged me to create a logo years ago back while I was working on my model sheets, mainly to make sure my work was not stolen. You see, back in the late 1970s, I want to say around 1977 or even 1978, I believe it was Bantum Publishing, who decided they could reprint Mom's first two books and NOT pay royalties for the work. Mom, enraged, thundered through the house before she called the family lawyer. Yes, my friends. We had a family lawyer, one who's son has taken over the business and I spoke with earlier this year ... but I digress. Anyways, Mom sued the company and won! Unicorn Dune, the name of the house we had on 7th Street on East Beach, was bought by the settlement and paid for through Pop's hard work with real estate and the various properties we owned and even helped further with Mom's legendary writing.
Usually with my works, I use the BP signature for my work, but if I want to jazz things up with something more official, here's one of three I use. Enjoy!
