Yeah, with how much Nurth's belly is dragged out behind him, I think he's beached no matter how he's oriented.
Friss is looking quite chonky herself here. If she keeps that up the two of them are going to need to look for a third like-minded derg to fill the role of guardian and be their caretaker... at least until they end up just as big as well. And then the cycle continues until you have an entire mountain range of mountainous dragons.
