Adulthood sucks, but you may not be as limited as you think. I feel that often you simply don't see the choices in front of you. Under the guise of gaining freedom, children want to be adults, adults want to retire. Maybe if you think about it, you've never felt truly free. Sure, you can't change some of the realities of life but...
...the time to be free is now.
...the time to be free is now.
By that logic, it sure makes sense why criminals and thieves likes to do what they do too, cause it's basically their own freedom...but to the world, their kind of freedom comes with consequences. XD
What I really meant was like, I would expect the world to maybe give us the knowledge instantly on what we can do to get the freedom we desire without us needing to experience it so that we can complete our duties quicker and have freedom after. Then again, the world doesn't work that way, which truly sucks. People grow by learning from experience they say. To me, it maybe true, but it's...a literal hassel if the things we need to learn aren't too difficult for us to handle and understand.

My personal philosophy has generally been that when it comes to humans, we get nearly everything that we need from each other. But the culture of adulthood has become bullish and held in this idea of "maturity" and so our peers instead become our adversaries and jury, creating this constant sense of isolation. People exist in a constant state of agitation, apathy, and coping, looking for distractions or to be entertained by others rather than connecting with them.
What is freedom when the people in your community strip you of your dignity each and every day, one bad encounter after the next? When I was a kid, I never anticipated that the people around me would grow up and be immature by trying to be gatekeepers and judges of adulthood. Adulthood sucks because seldom do we bond, show a healthy respect or empathy for those around us. Instead we have a self isolated culture raised on pure self focus and interest emboldened to be stubborn rather than open minded because too many of us see each other as less than people.
It's these same people that are the most vocal and confrontational about how "we should be" that are the children who never grew up and never learned or even forgot that the only way you truly live is with the help of others and the connections that kept our species going this far....instead we have....endless competition....the need for status than connection. What a terrible dream.
