Wow! I haven't seen a layer of ice like that since the ice storm of 1998 when I was living in Maine. Most impressive!

I suspect Maine gets way more fierce ice storms than this area of Texas. Still, quite cold for my area.

Still, it looks quite beautiful. *sighs* Sure do miss the openness and freedom of country living.

While walking home last night I found a snow drift that was up to my neck...I wish I had my camera on hand....SO much snow.

I still wanna know how come TX gets more snow than WA.

Cold and rainy here. I'm ready for summer, myself.

How odd. Reminds me of how the Winter started over here, and it was all fresh and glittery and new then.

Oh wow.. pretty.. I got a bunch of photos from our place after the ice storm.. but don't have the camera with me to pull the images off of it. Some of the pics came out really nice.

I'd heard Texas got snowstorms. I'd wondered if that hit you. Here's hoping it doesn't last long.

I was gonna ask, what's it like up there in Ranger?

It snowed Sunday night and Monday morning. Not that much all in, 2-3" and drifts of maybe 10-12" in places. Lot of wind though.

Temperatures went from 9F at night to 14F in the daytime. One by one, faucets in the house stopped working until I was down to one and no hot water.
The toilt in the store actually froze. Yeeps!

Fortunately (well so far) nothing seems to be the worse for it. I did manage to bury the Blazer in the driveway. Twice, but managed to get on the street today to buy groceries.

Might snow again tomorrow.

Hopefully this is the end of this.
