Wow, MLP 2.0! I had one of the first ones back in the 80s! They seem to be retooling everything, first the Care Bears, then Strawberry Shortcake, now MLP, what next? *scratches head*

Well from what I understand this is pony 4.0 or "4th gen" 3rd gen was in like 2002 or so.

Well I didnt mean to put her there but she isnt realy much int he new show :P Spike and princess celetia are both from the friendship 5 pack including the priencess spike, twilight, applejack and Pinky. Its only 20$ at target or walmart.

Just look it up on you tube and watch the first 2 eps *the first show is a 2 parter* if its too much then you know you have tired it :P

Its a good thing indeed.

ive seen the show growing in popularity.. but i just cant stand the art style. these ponies feel like an exaggerated joke of the ponies i grew up with you know? MLPs we already pretty stylized, but now they are just too extreme. The muzzles/mouths are like half the size they used to be which is just to much to still communicate "pony" to me. The original faces were abbreviated,yes, but this is just too much.The eyes are retardedly too large, as if they are the powerpuff girls of MLP. Not to mention the proportions are all off.. they have been made skinnier with thinner longer legs, which for a super deformed or "chibi" stylized character seems just really awkward to me. The new show may very well be fantastic, but i just cant stand the actual look of it all.

I do see that being a factor but I never like the original look of the ponies so the change doesnt bother me. I do like how the expressions are alot more expressive then the older series. However I dont blame you cause I cant stand all of these "new" versions of transformers -.- I cant collect anything but G1 or remakes cause the toys suck :P
