In his defense, the evo is addicting. I got mine salient back and cant put it down. I nearly died when I was without it for a couple weeks (repairs).

... It's very SAD ios what it is, especially when you have someone that wants to hang out with you like I do with him. We have never faught so much about anything before he got his Evo. I'll just leave it at that.

Lol! Sad, huh? I tried to deal with it and I can't. It'd be fine if he was just surfing the web, but he thinks he has to constantly be chatting with people. Then when I ask him what he's doing he lies about it. It's the lying that has pushed me over the edge more then once.

I hardly bother taking my phone with me when I go somewhere, much less use it.

That's kinda the point I am getting to with mine. Fact I left it in the bathroom the other day and didn't miss it till I went in there and realized where it had been. xD

It does. I have realized that there is the person I used to text constantly... and now he rarely texts me anymore. It's like we have nothing more to talk about.

I don't IM my first really good internet friend anymore. We used to IM each other for hours at a time.

Why not?

Even when we are on at the same time, about all the conversation amounts to is "Hi, how's it going?" "Oh... fine. You?" "Boring" That's pretty much it anymore. But we aren't even on often. When I get on for my usual hour in the morning, he's at school and when I get home, he's asleep. Darn time difference.

It took him a few months ago when he got it. I didn't pay much attention to him when he first got it cause I figured he'd go through, tamper with everything then be satisfied. Nope. He's on it the same amount of time he was when he first got it. I can't get up for two minutes during a movie and coming back without him getting on his phone. Not to mention when he first bought it, he bought an EXTRA battery so it'd never be without power.

Boys and their toys.

Its the same with cars. Some dudes put more love into their car then their family. Even though i love my HTC Desire, and my car or my big stereo. It is not like something i spend my whole life on.

I went from a Nokia 6300 to a touch smartphone. And the very first days i was going insane. I couldnt write on the thing, because there are no buttons on it. And whenever i wrote something, it took me ages.

Anyways im still impressed over it. I can do the exact same thing on my computer then with my smartphone. And its a good thing when your away from home, need to kill some time in the car when going to work. (Is in a car poll) It simply "digitalize" my life more.

xDDD I can understand that and I'll be the same way. I have never really had a high tech phone before. In fact the one I have now is my first ever keyboard phone, I was estatic when I got it. LOL. When I get a smart phone I am sure I'll drool for awhile, then I'll be good. The internet is good to have when you are away from a computer, but to let it take over your life? That's rather sad.

I use my phone for my job as well. Most of our clients are located in different parts of the world. And since my phone is able to run Skype i can keep in contact on that matter, and only pay the data transfer.

I see it more like this: Its a piece of clay, you shape into what you really need. Thats the whole idea with a smart phone. But again: I set it up.. and then thats it. Im not messing around with it constantly. Only when i put it in the charger.. Smart phones are not smart in saving power. :D

xDD I agree and no, they are power hungry. In fact, Marc bought an extra battery the day hegot his phone, as sad as that is.
