Oh yeah, I never mentioned that Heidi's head comes off, did I? Well, her bad luck makes her a magnet for curses, hexes, and other negative magic, and while some of it comes and goes, others stick around. This is one of the latter curses, but hey, she's good at acclimating to hexes in general, so being a dullahan is just a fact of life now. Sure, her body acts on its own when she's not attached to it, and it's a lot rougher around the edges than she is, and its fashion sense is completely different from hers, and this all has something to do with her autonomous tail (but that's a story for another day), but it takes good care of her, so she's okay with letting it carry her around sometimes. Here they are having a moment to themselves outside some sort of back-alley venue. Don't they look cozy?
I did the lineart for this a while ago and decided to color it in on a whim. Then I decided to just go apeshit on the shading when I don't really do shading much in the first place. I think this might actually be the best-looking piece I've made, in the end? It all just sorta happened, I'm still amazed.
I have a watermark-free version up on my Patreon for all patrons (plus a version that's just flat colors). You can see that and some other exclusive sketches for as little as a dollar a month.
