This is a very cute and snuggly comm done by a wonderful person over on twitter that you can find here: https://twitter.com/dangorawrr this comm in particular features my mousey Cedar, and a lovely rat by the name of Saga, who is owned by https://twitter.com/FireMageRat ! This is different, as it features Cedar having been Isekai'd and is now trying to find a way home making companionships along the way. As always, I wrote a story down below. Pretty proud of this story too, been trying out a style of writing story with minimal actual speaking dialog, and I think this turned out well (but as always any critiques are welcome!)
It was a very strange time indeed. First Cedar had found herself to be in an isekai. She never quite liked watching those herself, so the irony was not lost on her. She had traveled the lands, not that she wasn't used to working out her legs but the amount of walking she had to do? Likely she hadn't done that much walking since she was a child. Still, she had a goal in mind, and a name. Saga, The Fire Witch. The name alone was enough to send a shiver down Cedars spine, and she had no clue the true impact of that name just yet. She should be scared, the fabled fire witches powers were immense. They had scorched undead hordes to save the lands, only to impose a form of self exile on herself when the kingdom had collapsed regardless of her intentions.
But what Cedar found was not someone to be feared, but someone in need of some compassion. Saga was…. Well she put on this act of… Okay Cedar wasn't too sure what the term was. Aloof? An aloof act? Yeah that sounded right. The rat witch had their defenses up, having been come to time and time again for nothing but her destructive powers. But not Cedar, the mouse just wanted to find a way home. Saga could not promise anything, to send someone across worlds was a tough feat. And it would require the two to venture away from the place that Saga has called home for some time.
The two found themselves warming up to each other slowly but surely. Talks were had, teases were made, and soon a deal was formed. Saga would help Cedar find her way home, even if the task was tumultuous. And Cedar had promised she would help in any way she could, even if this world was still scary and confusing, Cedar had always been one to take things head on. But, as the night started to set upon the two, and the mouse's exhaustion of the day was catching up to her, the two soon found themselves retiring for the night.
Saga had, to say the least, been touch starved for so long whether or not she wished to admit it. The mouse made a simple offer, to just spend the night together. After all, if both wished to prove they trusted one another, sharing a bed would surely do the trick right? Well, less a bed and more a pile of pillows. Cedar loved the sight, flopping down onto it first, rolling over onto her back as she glanced at the rat. She felt a heated blush on her face. The two had just met, sure, but she was already taking a liking to Saga, who in turn was seeming to take a liking towards the mouse.
Soon Saga would join the mouse in the pillow pile. And the two continued to chat. Cedar mentions things from her world, explaining different concepts such as the internet and cell phones. And Saga in turn would share stories of her world. Neither of them took notice, or cared to admit they noticed, as their tails had slowly intertwined around one another. Who had initiated it didn't matter, as it got both of them blushing more. But before either of them knew it, their eyes had closed, and slowly and surely slumber had taken them both. Adventures laid ahead of both of them, now in the companionship of one another. The Fire Witch, and The Displaced Skater.
Once again big thanks to Saga for getting this, And big thanks to the artist~!!
