This is a sequel to my 19 chapter book Anima: The Bird House. If you have not finished the first book, I recommend reading it in its entirety before reading this story. It is available to download in the link below!

EEEEe! Reuinion time!
I think it’d be odd for it not to be his friends. On the one hand, a lot of time has passed, so most are probably full changed. On the other, Alex or whoever probably found out their names and contacted them directly. And the odds of their having been another red-tailed hawk named lyall living at the house who’s already changed is unlikely, so unlikely that the new owners, if they’re new, got him mixed up with someone else. So, I’d say odds are good that he’s gonna see his friends again.
Just thought I’d throw this out there since it came to mind when lyall got worried about his friends not living there anymore. I’m optimistic

Two hours of a man asking a bird yes and no questions. It sounds so ridiculous! lol
It has got to be interesting for those vets to have a patient that can understand them and even respond, in a way. The way Alex was acting to the news of him reproducing makes me wonder if she is embarrassed because she likes the thought of turning into a bird and doing that, concerned that a (former) human admitted to doing it with an animal, or if it is a simple case of not wanting to think about the fact that her patient has done the deed.
I can't wait for the update from the Bird House, to see how everyone is doing and who is left. It has been some time since he left, but he also kind of sped through his transformation, unlike a lot of them.

As much as I enjoy seeing Lyall and co again, I am looking forward to the ringtail and peacock one-shots.
Alex, if you're turning into an animal, just tell us!

They did a similar thing with Jeremy when he lost his voice. Writing out questions on pen and paper.
I thought about having the first conversation involve a similar concept, but I settled on the agree and disagree without the ability to explain. My explanation in my head is that he had a process to adhere to.
I do have something that will happen a bit later though.

I did get the impression he was following a standardized list of yes/no questions as if it was an official part of the process that he had to adhere to. It felt very clinical and not personal at all (except for the questions that asked very personal questions, of course lol).
I decided on rods after reading a few articles on recovery from broken wings in hawks, falcons and eagles. It seems they are only used in a few specific cases that I could see.
There is also a big chance I misunderstood or got bad info. The internet is ALWAYS 100% reliable! (right?)
