OK, she's been revealed in the game, so I can post her art!

She shines. :) Her armor isn't just like a dull steel, it's like a bright polished aluminum look, or silver, and that reveals so much about how you can see metal to render it! Had I had more of my wits about Cau Cau he prooobably would have trusted her more. Seeing a paladin should have been a little more universally trustable for him.
Her armor is indeed shiny, a light silver with a slight blue cast, unlike any you've seen. In fact, you notice that she doesn't seem to be nearly as weighed down by metal as you'd expect, and while you can hear the plates jingling when she moves, it's significantly quieter than the armor of the town guard back home. You vaguely remember stories though, of elves and dwarves crafting weapons and armor out of rare metals with this effect...
