Definitely went right!!
Just tried using the Wolf Link Amiibo in Tears of the Kingdom and it doesn't seem to bring Wolf Link into the game, just gives resources. Having Wolf Link beside you was so awesome in Breath of the Wild and so helpful early game. So very sad he's not there in Tears of the Kingdom so far!
