It feels a little strange posting a non-bunny image, but I figure she's going to show up at least a COUPLE times on my gallery, so I'd best make a post talking about who she is!

So for my previous submission ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51994654/ ), after I commissioned it and shared it with friends, I got a lot of interest from people in asking "WHODUNNIT? WHO BIT THE BUNNY?" So I came to Catling and asked her to design a character for me, and since she was responsible for infusing that piece with a beautiful piece of lore I offered to let her have creative freedom :3

It was kind of universally expected from friends that they thought the other person was going to be a "sexy vampire lady" and what I got back was...Well I think she fits the bill, but I see so much more in her ;_;

It took me a while to decide a name for her, but I ended up settling on Lenore. The name came to me randomly while talking to Catling one day and it just kinda stuck! Selene was another consideration, but that one didn't land immediately. She's a sheep! She's been 'alive' for a while. She's a super serious businesswoman! She might sometimes have horns? It hasn't really happened yet but Catling and I both think it'd be neat if she did :3

I've only grown more fond of her as the time went on, majorly due to Catling suggesting some beautiful lore between her and Penelope, but right out of the gate I was really stricken by how pretty and gentle she looks. I really love the way her neutral expression lends to both positive and negative interpretations of what she's thinking. I can see a look of kindness and concern, a look of interest and patience, a very subtle intrigue. I can also see a look of condemnation, disdain, waiting and plotting her next step, waiting for you to slip up so she can drop the metaphorical axe. IT'S REALLY COOL I LOVE HER :D

In this AU with her, she's overseeing the absorption of a little tech company that Penelope is an employee for that just made a huge breakthrough discovery. She belongs to a little known collective of vampires that are basically the ruling elite of the world, and they were the first on the scene as always with the big events and snatched control to make sure this is handled properly. She is absolutely there to fire everyone that either isn't fit to stay and/or can't be trusted, and is viewed as a hostile presence among the employees :D

Most of the employees are terrified of her due to her being a threat to their future, but also the little fact that she's a potential threat to their lives makes it even worse. I imagine some people quit on the spot to avoid dealing with her, but Penelope sticks around since...it's a hard world out there in this AU and she can't risk it. Due to Penelope being nearly blind, she fails to notice that Lenore is a vampire, but knows that she has to impress her anyway and gives it her all. Thankfully, Penelope passes judgment and is kept on due to her willingness to put in 110% for the sake of the company, and even becomes something of a favored employee due to her smart work and selflessness...

ANYWAY this world is still being slowly pieced together. There's absolutely more already established but maybe with enough commissions the entire story can be told ^.^

I love this as a standalone commission anyway, I think Catling designed a very beautiful person here! I am very drawn to her eyes, the horizontal pupils mixed with the vampire red is just so cool, and the natural dark fur markings just looks so COOL! Also I think her ears are super adorable, and I've always had a soft spot for short little tails ^.^ Of course, I've become attached to her for many other reasons so absolutely expect to see more :3

This all may change as the world solidifies more so I may edit this a couple times :x
