And for running an underground railroad of escaping Syxen, what better fairy than one who's been active in civil rights movements going back to standing shoulder to shoulder with suffragettes and having suffered a variety of racist incidents over a lifetime based on just a few centuries old stereotypes?

In Vikki's world the Old Ones were largely purged from the halls of power a few centuries ago and the Old Ways have largely faded in favour of the quicker, easier methods of technology. But like many hermetic types of magical beings and mortal practitioners of magic, or undead, the Countess Amibelle of Den Finella still tends to her crops of alchemical mushrooms, brews up simple potions for household healing needs, and otherwise keeps the light of the Old Ways while unafraid of the New.
