And finished image -- a reptilian spellsword has entered an abandoned, underground facility where a village used to be. People say everyone seemed to either leave or disappear. Our intrepid explorer goes inside, finding nothing but completely barren walls, devoid of any signs of life, or even any objects. Until he finds three stone tablets with glyphs that he can't read -- a perfect opportunity to use a spell of his own making, to channel the spirits of whomever wrote the text. He is thrilled to see ghostly figures appear in the air... and thus oblivious that behind him, something is crawling towards him.

I want to write a story about this someday, though I have yet to find out this guy's name or his species (he's not a kobold, though he does look a bit like one, come to think of it).
