There's certainly worse things you could be doing with your money, after all. Sounds like you've got a respectable job, with that bit of income. Nice to see the contrast from those who don't have jobs at all, have to pay their rent late (if at all), but they just have to get a new fursuit and be at the latest convention. :D
A baroque comment is one that isn't really all that kind/flattering, but the wording of it makes it so that the recipient can't legitimately get offended without looking like a dick. Perfect way to drop an insult or snide remark without any trouble! :D

I can think of a couple people in the fandom with just commissions in general I'd like to say that to. You sometimes get tired of seeing certain characters over and over again in your inbox, especially after the 500th time XD

Totally! There seems to be an equal amount of idiot artists who fuck over their commissioners. That Jessica Elwood idiot comes to mind. The "adult" commissioners seem to have the worst of the lot amongst them. Yet another reason I don't intend to take commissions of that sort. That, and it more than just kind of weirds me out, lol.
Especially esecially since you don't need a whole lot of money to be able to afford commisions, it doesnt cost more than any old hobby to maintain.

Yeah, but of course you are allowed to be really into cars and sports, that proves you are a real man, but you are not allwoed to enjoy anything beyond that, that's for girls and dorks. Because spending thousand of dollars fixing up a car you only ever use to show off and then memorize the statistics so yo ucna rattle it off at the slightest provocation is not dorky, not at all, no sir.
I think the world would be better if everyone admitted thy where all huge geeks in different ways, instead of creating this fake hierachy when some hobbies get a free pass while others are critized...
