Unfortunately, no. And I dont know when I will read it - i'm not book person.

When i was a child this is not kind of book which my family could buy. I think in Russia it was hard to find it, no one in my family was able to read on english, and the translated version appeared only in 1993 or later - and it was a really bad time. But somehow the movie appear in my childhood with bad made-by-one-person voice-line. I didn't know this story are exist as book in Russia, and i couldn't check it via internet because my family doesn't have internet up to 2008.
Now i know about book, even en and ru-vers, but as a said, i'm rarely read book :<

I can understand that. While the premise is the same, there are vast differences, one of which Smrgol gets more interactions and even basically takes this wimp of a dragon and motivationally smacks him over the head with a whole YOU ARE A DRAGON speech. Ah, I am fangasming. I haven't run into anyone else that seems to have read/watched this and enjoyed it.

Oh, i know many people who did watch and love it, but without creation any fanart, yep... Your speech motivate me to try read this book on English :> At now, it's much easier to find the books via net !
