This is Rannyl, who represents the Viddinich subspecies of Viddin which combine the features of a jaguar and a vulture.

Followers of this folder may be familiar with the prior Viddinich picture posted of Sokkas, who, due to his personal preferences does not represent the proper coloration and markings for his sub-species, did not provide a clear representation of what to expect of a standard Viddinich. Presented as a "take two" is a new model, Rannyl, who just so happens to be Sokkas' sire.

As the smallest of the large Viddin subspecies, a mature Viddinich is easily 153cm (5') at the shoulders. Generally populating more arid portions of Plateau Earth, Viddinich tend to be long-distance fliers, preferring to soar using warm updrafts. While most Viddin subspecies have males tending to be larger than females, the Viddinich females are more often than not slightly larger than males.


The Viddin race and Rannyl, are all part of the Cohen Icosahedron story though Rannyl doesn't show up until the second chapter of book 2.
