Wings of Time: Mo the Seaswimmer

Sorry that I hadn’t done anything Wings of Time AU related in a while, been very busy, but had this nearly done, waiting to be finished for a while, so decided as my main goal today was to get it done. So here is Mo the Ophthalmosaurus now turned into a Seaswimmer. Yep created another new race for the Wings of Time AU. I did originally think of just making him a Seawing, but then this idea started forming in my head and thus change tracks to creating Seaswimmer’s.

For the design I took some inspiration from the Monster Hunter creature Green Plesioth.

I imagine Seaswimmer’s markings glow like that of Seawings so they can also do that type of communication as well. They can’t fly, but are much faster swimmers than Seawings. Seaswimmer’s can go on land, but most never will as its a struggle to move about effectively as their bodies are more suited for the underwater life. Instead of a breathe attack they use echolocation, which they use underwater to help hunt but also as a weapon. Their vocalisations can be so powerful and painful that they can cause injuries to other dragons and creatures ,but they mostly just disorientate the victim, which gives enough time for a seaswimmer to attack their confused prey. Seaswimmer’s are friendly to dragons though they themselves are not always treated well by the dragons of Pyrrhia, as most don’t what to make of Seaswimmer’s. SeaWings are the dragons they have most contact with and get along with fine mostly, but that still doesn’t stop dragons wondering if Seaswimmer’s are dragons or fish? Some think they are a group of Seawings that gave up their ability to fly, so they could live their whole lives underwater, and some thing they are a really strange fish.
