Rootclan's first and current leader, Firestar. She founded the clan along with a handful of other cats, most of which have passed on already. She still has some of the cats that had been apprentices or kits when the clan was founded by her side as well as the first medicine cat, who has since retired and joined the elders, and her mate.

Firestar is a reliable and kind leader, giving shelter to any cat who wants to join Rootclan and so, over the many moons she has been leading the clan, it has grown to house almost a hundred cats. At this point she has witnessed many deaths of cats she valued, which includes two of her deputies. Firestar has become more reclusive and is stricken with grief, often wondering if she had made mistakes as a leader and if she is still fit to be a leader.

Before founding Rootclan she was known as Fireshiver and, after receiving a vision from Starclan when she was still a warrior in a different clan, she decided to leave to fulfill her destiny to create a clan of her own, followed by a few cats that trusted her and were trusted by her.

[I personally really hope she survives for a long time, but she is already 120 moons old. She already lost five of her lives and I really thought Kikijumble would take her place as leader but then he died- This game is fucking unpredictable but I love it, even if some deaths really got to me.]
