Agreed. Especially since all that "art" that they "make" is all stolen from actual artists to generate it.

I wonder whats your take on AI art used as templates for actual art?

I actually suggested an artist do that (3D template) to better get the right angles on some critter's muzzle they were having problems drawing. But that's a far sight from just having the 3D program render you a picture (which is what I do - but I don't claim to be no artist - just a mangler of words ... )

That's okay. It will still require some skills and/or talent to create the final product

if all a person does is type in propmts to generate a picture, all they do is "commissioning a computer"... ya know what? scratch that. they are doing an "art request to a computer".

of course this whole thing is more complicated than that, if you take all the artists into account whose work was used to train those Ai models without the artist's permission, but that a different topic alltogether.

At least using DAZ 3D I have to place/pose/light things in my scene to create a picture - not that I think their AI is ready to do 'furry critters in space' just yet ...

Not counting sprites, I hand draw my works. With paper.
