Now you see why I haven't been updating this place? I built a crazy, "Furry" suit of armor out of mostly 3/16" steel plate for my senior thesis in Fine Art! I regret running out of time to make a tail, and finish up the digigrade legs, but OH WELL. It only took one year to get to even THIS point! So far, it weighs about 60 pounds total!
These pics were taken during set up for our senior art show. As soon as it's over, I'll take some pics of me actually WEARING it, because I tailored it to fit me like a glove! Furry conventions, here I come! MUWA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAA!!!!!

Do you make any other types of armors? Or was this just for school? You do realize that if you took this up as a profession, I'd buy a suit from you! I go to renaissance events, and I can never get the smithy to squeeze me in. He's always busy with swords, axes, flails, and the like. The one year he got me in, he made my Hand and a half sword(Bastard sword). *folds his ears back and grumbles to himself*
It was just for school, but I HAVE been wondering about making armor for a career, now that I dipped my proverbial toe in the water. One thing's for certain, though... I'm definitely thinking of using a thinner guage of steel! Right now, my life's a mess, and I'm SUPPOSED to move up to Kansas City to live with some friends in about two months... It'll be a while for things to settle down over here.
It reminds me somewhat of the armor they wear in www.blastwavecomic.com (the blues that is)
