Kabutonker (Kabutongaa) and Moon Condor were the 26th and 27th Robot Kaiju in the Dark Horror Army serving as the 4rth Monster team up in the show appearing in the 22nd and 23rd Episodes of the Dino Mech Gaiking Anime: "The Secret of the Underground Kingdom" and "The Hellish World of the Moon".

_Appearances and Abilities_

Kabutonker was the first Kaiju in the two parter and first the heroes confront; it resemble a Rhinoceros Beetle with six legs (though its later seeing having eight though this was likely animation error). It fired a multi color tractor beams from its horn – it would also use the claw in its antler would hold grip on its enemy; the tail stinger was a also a rocket. It was capable of self repair, after everyone thought it was destroy in the first encounter. Though the first Kaiju in the story arc, it was the 2nd to be taken out. It was largely brown with bronze yellow underbelly and red and pink head, with grey legs.

Moon Condor was the second monster of the two part story line; resembling a condor it was capable of creating illusions fired from its eyes, to trick its enemies; beside this, it had a sharp edge on it wings capable of cutting and powerful talons – it also fired Rockets. It was colored Purple, yellow, Orange, red, green and black. It was resistant to Gaiking's Hydro Blazer attack. Though the 2nd Kaiju of the story arc, is the first to be taken out.

Both were destroy with Gaiking's new upgrade: the Face Open - Perhaps the dumbest upgrade a Mecha has ever gotten, and that's saying a lot when you got Boss giving Boss Borot junk base Weaponry.

_History_
In the Secret of the Underground Kingdom, with Zela's end approaching, the Generals, under pressure from the Emperor, have to complete the construction of the new Underground Kingdom on Earth in 10 days; an armada of UFO fly to Earth with material to complete the work. Reaching the location of the worksite in the Venezuela's Amazonian Jungles, they are was spotted by Fighter Jet Squadron, but they are are attracted by the Tractor Beams of Kabutonker, coming out from a Sinkhole, and the whole squadron is destroyed. This incident, attracts the Daiku Maryu who travels to the last location of the Squadron to investigate.

Arriving on site, the Daiku Maryu comes under attack by the UFO fleet, but these are dispatch by the ship's Weaponry; Kabutonker comes out and attracts the Ship with its tractor beam, as it did with the Jets, but Gaiking enter into action and Battles the Robot Beetle , kicking it and freeing the ship from an imminent crash. The monster fired its stinger tail pushing the mecha over the sinkhole, though held to the edge; coming out, Gaiking it caught by the Claw in its horn, but the Daiku Maryu smacks them, allowing it to free Gaiking; trying to pull the Mecha to it with its tractor beam, Gaiking uses Saur Geyser and Hydro Blazer, blasting the Monster into pieces in a quick victory. The team then explorers the Sinkhole, and with the Generals watching plotting to dragged the Daiku Maryu out of Earth.

While exploring, thanks to a Hachiro slipping down into a hole, the team finds the construction site; Yamagatake is then called in for assistance and, with the Bazolar, proceeds to explore the various tunnels and levels on the site, the magnitude of the work going from Venezuela to Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula through the Caribbean sea, its travel followed by the Daiku Maryu, the long travel taking him to the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza; exploring these leads to an encounter and shootout with Dark Avian Soldiers, Sanshiro with his sharpshooting skills, along with the help of Fan Li and Yamagatake who dispatch; though one of them, trying to escape with a box, is shutdown by Sanshiro and more machines found inside, the box retrieve and opened, finding a tablet with a Zelan Code in written in Mayan language; translating it, the learn of the Emperor's impending arrival to the moon, as well a plan to wipe out human life with H-Bombs stored on the moon.

The Daiku Maryu takes off to the Moon and explores it – Fan Li, Bunta and Yamagatake doing a brief sortie; but is the latter, after a screw up finds a tropical paradise, and entrance by it, wants to walk outside to enjoy it; Sanshiro launches on the Gaiking to stop in, but he too gets entranced by it and both he Yamagatake slowing sink into the ground, in another Zela trap deploy via the Dark Horror Kaiju Moon Condor, using his Optic Illusion Beam; the Daiku Maryu rams the Monster, ending the illusion and freeing the two heroes from the trap.

The battle with the Moon Condor becomes difficult thanks to the moons 1/6 Gravity, the ship rolling over with one Tail Whip; the villains then begin to rain a Meteor shower on the heroes; Bazolar is able to retreat back to the ship, but Gaiking is caught by the Meteor Shower, General Desmond making contact making contact with them, learning they have fallen into a trap, as well that the Kabutonker had reassemble itself and its still functional.

Despite their efforts to protect Gaiking, the Meteor Shower do damage to the Mechas, busting the rocket systems and Gaikings Controls; the Moon Condor then flies in and takes Gaiking into space, doing further damage to it with is sharp wings, ripping its arm and scarring the torso, causing an oxygen leak; unable to help, all the heroes can do is see Gaiking drift into deep space, ending the first part.

In the Hellish World of the Moon, Daiku Maryu unable to help with its damage Rockets and five minutes of oxygen for Sanshiro left, launch the Bazolar with Yamagatake and Fan Li to rescue him....

How was this was this achieve is not known, because ya Main Boi here loses conscious and has a nightmare; when he wakes up he is in the Daiku Maryu Med Bay having been saved. WOTDAFUQ?

He then makes it to the meeting room where the crew plans to have the Bazolar, Skylar and Nessar to use their combine strength to tow the Daiku Maryu to Earth, Gaiking unable to help due to the amount of damage it sustained, as all repairs requiring Zolmanium need to be made on Earth. As they carry out the towing operation, the Moon Condor shows up disrupting the operation, cutting the cables with its sharp wings, making the ship crash onto the moon once more; Darius questions why isn't the monster finishing the heroes, but General Desmond assures him the situation is under control, knowing damaged and unable to repair their ship, the crew would eventually died of lack of oxygen.

Discourage by the whole ordeal, Sakon walks out on a space suit through the moon's surface trying to collect in his thoughts when he comes under attack by the Moon Condor; he shoots at it, but the Beast just flies over him, slicing the meteors with its sharp wings and flies away – in a struck of good luck, the Beast's stunts helps uncovers a deposit of Iron Ore; he reports back to the Daimonji and the crew puts in effect a mining operation to extract as much of the ore, while avoiding the Moon Condor and their limited oxygen supply, but in the end were able to repair Gaiking specially its head, giving a new upgrade in the process, and repairs are completed on time of the Moon Condor's next attack and Gaiking is launched to face it.

The monster, after avoiding the Hydro Blazer, Sanshiro activates Face Open, the new upgrade for Gaiking: Face Open – Gaiking opens its entire face and begins to shoot a barrage of Gaiking Missiles; the beast retreats and Gaiking follows to the dark side of the moon, with the crew following on Radar; the Darkness provides concealment to the beast, allowing to provide some hits on Gaiking with its rockets; Sakon suggests Abshock lights to Sanshiro, and with the help of Pete's radar, he succeeds to finding the monster. Gaiking fires Desper Sight blasting the Monster down and dispatching it with Hydro Blazer. A victorious Gaiking now to tows the damaged Daiku Maryu back to Earth, much to the anger of the Emperor and dismay of the Generals, who have underestimated the situation again.

After returning home and doing repairs, Daiku Maryu flies back to South America to location of the construction site; the Zelan UFO fleet attacks, but like before are of no impediment to the incoming ship and are dispatch; the ship then activates its Miracle Drills and burrow its way through the whole site, destroying it and beginning a chain reaction, but Kabutonker intervenes with its Tractor Beam again, though the monster runs away as Daiku Maryu tries to ram it; Gaiking is launched to fight, but is caught off guard by the monster who then tries to pull it back into the sinkhole in a desperate attempt to take Gaiking along with the New Underground Kingdom when it explodes. Sanshiro uses Face Open again and fires a missile Barrage onto the beast, destroying the horn and breaking free – Gaiking then uses Hydro Blazer tossing the monster into the hole, just as the New Underground Kingdom explodes, taking Kabutonker with it.

Darius can only berates his Generals again thanks to the magnitude of their miscalculation, while Team Daiku Maryu enjoy the site of the moon when having return home.
