I've seen multiple indie webcomics being suspended into silence, for at least 6 months and so on. Some of them are dead.
Check out Dust to Dust by Kilinah. It lasted only one episode, as of May 2023. The last page was released in March 26 2021 on Tumblr. The development went into cold radio silence that has a tendecy to atrophy sense of compassion. Parororo's Amissio is a similar case, but he recently went back into writing and drawing, starting the sixth (6th) chapter of Aria and friends' adventures, which is nice. This taught me a lesson: write and polish your scripts first, then draw and illustrate.
I hope your webcomics won't succumb to the same potential fate as Dust to Dust. Your writing is getting better.

My favorite webcomics are:
1) Kilinah's Dust to Dust
2) Lei-Lani's The Depths and Insignificant Otters
3) Parororo's Amissio and Negative Frames
4) Yours' Bethellium
...and so on!
I wonder if there are multiple factors that hinder the webcomic's production progress... infighting, Patreon-exclusivity won't expire by author's conduct even if the Patreon account is shut down, role-ending misdemeanor, etc.

The required gears to keep a webcomic going on for long periods of time are so many and so diverse that you can probably consider every ongoing comic a miracle of sorts. Some of the most limited resources when creating a webcomic are money, time and motivation. And that's without accounting for the specifics of each project which can be a great many too. Enjoy the comics you like while they exist, hoping they will be finished at some point. I bet every creator wants to see their projects finished someday.
