This is one of KO-MECHA's future upgrades; she currently needs a few more before she has access to this.
KO-RECON is, as the name suggests, primarily for reconnaissance and escape for whenever KO-MECHA is damaged beyond repair or cannot enter small temporary areas. The robot suit has little to no combat abilities or proficiency other than basic firearm use and some grenades; this is to offset and allow its high mobility.
KO-RECON is heavily/loosely inspired by the Patlabor series, just as KO-MECHA is inspired by the Big O. Their sizes are roughly equivalent with RECON possibly being a bit smaller; this should give you a decent idea of just how large these robots are!
