Mikkel is the god of balance, harmony, and artistic pursuits attested to in ancient texts. The story goes that it was xem who were responsible for ending the conflict between with siblings Ymir and Luna , convincing them to come to a peaceful compromise. With xeir siblings working together, they created the world of Svandir . Using xeir own life force, xey created the Dýrvættr, the first people who are capable of sapience, and then disappeared soon after. In stories written about xem, xey had been given the epithet of Dýrpater, meaning "Father of the Dýr." More recently, xey had been given the nicknames Eddy, Eddie, Miguel, Heidi and Flare.
