This was a really fun chapter to write. For the first part of the story it was an interesting way to play off the fact of translation issues. That the Language of Intent is frequently just thrown around to get around having to translate to a bunch of people using the orb. But in this chapter it's used to the exact opposite extent, to prevent someone from speaking and being understood. Though something for y'all to think about: Since both the Language of Intent and the Translation Orbs are both different forms of technology, would the orbs have a lexicon to understand and translate the Language of Intent? And if nothing else, Ret can feel sated enough in that his models were not wrong
