Here is a fixture I put together to act as a 3rd hand when I'm soldering using the alcohol lamp https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52183262 seen here in this post.

It's basically a pair of small tongs with a spring in between the reins and a bolt fixed to one end and a hole in the other with a wingnut to tighten the clamp. The spring pushes the reins apart when the wingnut is loosened.
When I was forging one end of it past the hole for the bolt, it cracked and I had to slap on a heap of weld on so it wouldn't end up as failure.

That mistake aside- This is going to be really handy for later.
