It is always wise not to wander in too deep to ancient ruins, dilapidated and weathered over time, you would be bound to see more than just relics, archaeological discoveries and many more, walk and put your nose in deeper, lest you encounter a creature walking and wandering around the grounds of this ruin. Walking around, a dark room, its ambience only lightened by the small crevice in the walls letting the moonlight shine in, a silent corrider, or what you thought was silent, seeing numerous azure blue light glowing in the corner of the hall, as it walks closer, hearing not hard footsteps, but that of a sound of squelching and squeaking akin to latex, it stops and just gazes you down, assessing and surveying you, as the minute passes by, the moon shifts, the light shining upon closer to the creature until you finally see it, Bound by the shackles enchanted with runes keeping this once malleable being formed out of crystal and moulded into latex, the only thing keeping them from engulfing the ruin fully into their control, but it doesn't stop them from having a closer look to those that come across their path, wrapped in binds of cloth, a mask partially petrified in stone by time, it continues to gaze at you, the creature holds their hand out, the loose wraps around them coming undone as an appendage akin to a tendril forms out. Now you saw what lies in, perhaps you will see soon enough what its doing there, especially for 'visitors'
Rough story that just popped in my head while drawing this piece supposedly should be for halloween, a tad late, but might as well post it.
