Sorry to those distressed even by the thumbnail. But I had yet another dumb idea for a Pac-Monster and that is, of course, the Argus, with a thousand eyes. I don't see where they're going to fit on him. Anyway, don't you hate it when you know you need contact lenses in like a quarter of your eyes but you can't remember exactly which ones? So annoying.

Oh, I like this creature. I mean, apart from the predation on women and young children. But the basic concept is fascinating.
(I have some reserve about doing creatures too far outside the Western canon because I worry about being unintentionally disrespectful of cultural traditions I don't understand. I'm even torn about genies because, as fascinating and as westernized as they are, I learned from that Hidden Djinn podcast that there's a lot of lore about them I didn't even know I was ignorant of.)

FWIW a dullahan is basically the same thing and has less chance of cultural approrpiation -- it just doesn't make as good of a pun. :) Based on my experience wth Indonesian horror movies, though... yeah. I wouldn't worry too much. They play pretty fast and loose with their monsters. I doubt you're gonna touch on anything sensitive there.
