Your little gentlecat looked like a very happy Coal Tiger Purrbeast, and I am very sure they stuck close to you as you did to them. The part of Spaz that's kept a den in your heart will stay there, and they'll be a bright little singularity-cat waiting within whenever you need to know you're not alone, before and after the immediate shock and pain fades to even-minding.
Having known many a fourlegger heart-beast of my own, I feel very sure yours would want their person to know and mind the happiness you shared together, and to grieve your parting in flesh as healthily and wholly as you can. It is meant to be difficult to part ways with someone you've loved, because the reflection of that loss and parting is defined by and equally relative to the love you've shared together, and it itself a journey to undertake.
Spaz will be there when you need to find them on your travels, thereout and therein, as such things should be.
