agruably the reason why the russians lose is the time they dont spend training thier combat troops i think thats been prove even giving say and american a techonogly inferior weapon he can still come out on top becuase of the training he got.

Well it's also Doctrine.Russian Officers are very good at what they do, They just have to biol down their tasks so that the Conscripts can follow their simplified orders. But Russian Troops can be fearless when properly motivated.

However the UK used to be an illustration in the opposites, Their Enlisteds were terrifically well trained, but they had less that stellar equipment for the most case,and their officer corps was truly awful. This has changed some, especially in Afghanistan, but in Iraq, they officers consistently misread the intelligence. Read Michael Yon's Dispatches fora look at the British in the fieled currently.

But the Russians, they put their faith in their artillery, and their navy. Their Airforce is now under trained due to lack of funds and the Georgian Invasion showed how truly weak the airforce has become, getting retirees from the Afghan War to pilot ,as the new pilots were not good in combat.

true enough russians can be pretty damn god i give much respect to the spenaz. and true on the UK great troops sucky officers..i guess its the english way XD.... hey you have to give it to old timers tho for te russians some of those flyboys can put on with the best of em.

The Russian Flight Demonstration team is definitely braver, and perhaps flashier, but I sthill think the Blue Angels are the best.

yep.either moving to a set 3sp[ace coordinate, or programmed to follow a designator, or a "lead object." Very versatile.. and the launcher chucks them about 250 meters max. (with a high angle of fire).Hell of a kick on the launcher though.

Well, the overall design is indeed borrowed from that, ads the helmet is a better fit on most anthro skulls, and the liner being a "bumper type" with that two piece adjustment on the inside of the liner, is easily adaptable to avoid ears. Also it seems everyone is going to "belly rig" for ammo and equipment carry, See "Future Trooper, the armor coverage and belly rigging between the two is about the same.

Love the fact the helmets DONT have holes for ears

IF you have the right helmet liner, you dont need the holes, jsut a little stand off. Other helmet designs might, though depends on the technology level

Mostly because of the helmetm but that M1944 stahlhelm with it's fore/aft bumper style liner is a food design for antros and neatly avoids the ears, without cut outs for the ears. The uniform and chest rig was just an extrapolation on ammunition carry in many armies, and a jacket that has some ballistic protection would be nice to have too, even if it's a bit hot.
