Alas, scratching inside the ears may be a sign of ear mites. Best to see a doctor if the scratching is persistent or there's fluid leakage.

I mean luckily Bug has been thoroughly checked for mites since she's been unusually itchy, and doesn't have them, but the mystery remains -- why is she so itchy?
(Although ever since I realized both she and I are allergic to the mouse, and I keep them away from each other/wash hands in between touching each, she at least hasn't had HIVES, which is a step in the right direction!)

As for the mice, I think they just love to get their little feet in those ear holes. One did have mites (Munchie, I think), but I managed to get rid of them kind of by accident just by cleaning the cage really well/often. I had a dip I ordered online for it, but by the time it arrived I couldn't find a mite on him, so I let him be. 😂
