Woklah is a member of the Felcae race and a warrior of the House of the Shield. She is part of a trio crew along with her Felcae comrade Eleru and the avian Grepir scout named Adri. Woklah and Eleru are famed for their skill battling the demonic Hessai, and Adri is one of only a few Grepir that work for the House. They are assigned to join a crew that is going out to a large island called Lukaudalin, which had been consumed by a gigantic Hessai entity.

Felcae tend to be the tallest of the races in this story line. Woklah is over 2 meters tall, or about 6'8". Felcae are technically not mammalian, which in combination with their tall heavy builds lends to a masculine perception of Felcae women by the other races. Woklah's often gruff fighter's personality only exacerbates that.


I played around with the Blender hair particle system again, and found what might work as a compromise. This short particle length gives the character a fuzzy look, a definite improvement over a flat material. It may not get a really good fur look, but it also doesn't require a lot of time and exasperation combing and adjusting like my previous attempts.
