Ruby Gillman, bluegrass kraken.
Finally, more non-sexual stuff!
because of, uh, recent events that transpired, I'm considering about going over to some other heavily-used furry art site. Granted I could just upload this on a new account on deviantART, but all my stuff's already prime deviantART spaghetti. They got enough to deal with in regards to jerrybonds and a whole bunch of neurodivergent 13-year-olds who don't know what boundaries are yet. And Inkbunny is, uh...unless they get really good at knowing what acceptable content is, I'm stuck here.
so anyhoo, here's a non-gregnant Ruby Gillman, from famous movie of animation Rubert Gilled Man: Octopus High Schooler, playing the banjo. The song? "The Swimming Song" by Loudon Wainwright III (father of Rufus, who contributed his cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" for Shrek), which describes the new trailer (which gives us an insight into Ruby's anxiety issues, even down to "she's having a panic attack, Good Comedy," and has a very brief neutral dialogue bit with her and Chelsea, which shows that...something's a bit up with Ruby being groomed to fight mermaids and Chelsea going full psycho during the last part of the first trailer. I can only hope that, if they're enemies for most of the movie, they can be friends at the very end. Or acquaintances. I don't like movies aimed at families that prefer their kid/teenage antagonists to be purely lost causes. It's a message people do learn, but kids and teenagers can change if you reach out, set boundaries, and treat their issues with a mix of compassion and sternness.
also she's supposed to be playing the banjo really weird (she got no bones), I'm bad at drawing instruments (and in general)
Ruby Gillman belongs to DreamWorks Animation.
