Created from a miscast necromancy summoning spell, Hayde is a product of an experiment that attempted to use Holy magic to perform demonic rites with hopes of giving birth to a new kind of weapon to fight off evil. Instead Hayde became a thing of supreme heresy, a demon infused with Light magic, a Lumos Demon. It is unclear how he is able to sustain this power, as it was believed that a user of such power is unable to use it to commit acts of evil, however Hayde remains an anomaly as he has demonstrated more than once his potential of unleashing collateral devastation to his enemies and and even victims.
Hayde is most vulnerable to Dark magic, unable to use it himself and hence must use Light to defend against it however due to his demonic nature he is unlikely to be the target of Dark forces making him a threat that must be defeated via unconventional means. He is dangerous to approach due to his extensive arsenal of Light spells that he has a natural understanding of, but his knowledge is not complete and he actively seeks to expand it.
Like most demons he sustains himself by devouring living creatures, feasting on their life energy by consuming them whole and digesting them. However, unlike most demons Hayde has a strong preference for prey that commit evil with good intentions, this means that he prefers sentient prey that exhibit qualities of naiveness, hypocrisy, idiocracy and stubbornness, especially so when they are convinced they are doing something good despite the effects being the opposite. Having dispatched or defeated any hostiles/food, Hayde will remain stationary and open his jaw that allows dark tendrils to reach out and slither towards their prey before obtaining a firm grip on them and reeling them in for ingestion. These tendrils can reach out to the full length of his body and usually come in threes or fours depending on the meal however this number can vary. Additionally it has been observed for Hayde to overcome difficult terrain by using them as ropes and grip, allowing him to scale cliffs.
Having ingested his meal it will take a short while for compression to take place, where Hayde's belly returns to its normal shape in a concept which is known as hammerspace. The meal continues to be digested and stripped of all its organic matter, after which he will regurgitate anything that is left, including but not limited to bones, armour, weapons etc. His belly does not expand again during this process, and it appears that several meals can be consumed before the regurgitation occurs.
