You're forgetting several things here.
1. Someone who isn't focused is very easy to topple over (losing balance).
2. Regardless of how damn chonkus someone is, applying sufficient weight and velocity to the upper quarter of their torso is enough to topple them over; and any average adult is more than sufficient weight to do that; regardless of what hollywood would like you to believe.
3. Knocking someone's head will very quickly make them loose balance.
4. realistically someone this big would have already died from a heart attack. It's a comic and this motion is very frequently used for comedic affect in media.

Even in written text Sergei's Russian accent is T H I C C, I had to re-read his dialog 2 to 3 times just to figure out what he's saying lol! XD
