I don't blame her for being a bit shy. That's quite the skimpy robe she's got on! But she's a gorgeous doe, and her glasses just make her all the cuter. And it's never too late to celebrate rabbits!

If you watch enough anime, that yukata is about the average length XD

LOL.. Probably! I forget anime has the habit of making school skirts and yakatas far shorter then they typically are in real life. In that case, she fits in well and just has to hope for no strong updrafts.

She can hope for that all she likes; the collective hopes of everyone else viewing the picture will overrule her. :)

It's similar to the kind of Kimono men wear in Japan during various festivals. I know because I have a photo somewhere of me and my old Japanese class wearing them XD

Yeah, well I have more ideas then just for one image, plus I want to do one with the metal aspect of this year of the rabbit. That and I do have more rabbit characters.

Everyone loves bunnies! How could you not?

Is that one of those sparkler sticks that I used to get to play with on Firecracker Day when I was a kid?

Probably pretty similar; I just used a simple sparkler design that most kids run around with.

Good. My first, unworthy, thought was that it was a tiny little magic wand. What you want to have, if you ever do another picture with a sparkler in it, is little sparks. Apart from the glow there was a halo of bright lines that ended in little explosions of bright lines, as the peroxides (or whatever they were) burned up.

Very nicely done.

Though in all fairness, I bet all your girls would look lovely in naught but a short robe.

Likely, and actually this is tamer than most of the initial ideas I had for Year of the Rabbit.

But seriously, Blueberry looks fucking adorable wearing a Kimono and with her hair done in the Japanese style like that. And her purple rims really match well with her green eyes, and the blue of her Kimono. Though a lady-friend of mine's favorite colors are purple and green, so I may be just a tad bit biased on that. ;3

I wish the Year of the Ram/Sheep would hurry up and get here (that's what I am in the Chinese Zodiac. Apparently they never got the memo that I'm a fukkin Tiger.... :< ), so I can see you draw a Sheep. I can totally point at that and say "OMG that's totally MEEEEEEE!" xP

Kidding aside, though, it would be awesome to see that.

Actually to be honest, I should give drawing sheep or rams a try as it has been quite a long time since I last drew some.

The Kimono (actually more of a oriental night robe than a kimono really) is actually the part of the image I am happiest with.

That would be awesome to see in your style. I don't believe I've seen you draw a sheep before.

My only gripe about that is the sash, it's too closely matched- color wise- to the Kimono/robe. If it were me, I'd have picked a dark purple (to match her glasses) or a dark green (to match her eyes). I think a dark green would've worked perfect, but dark purple would've worked also. The thing is, there's too much blue in the pic already (the background is blue, the Kimono/robe is blue, and so are the flowers on it), so the sash would've been better done in a dark green/dark purple imo. Other than that it's a sweet pic. ^^
