Scarlett knew the number one rule for jogging for exercise out in the open: always be aware of your surroundings. She always kept that in mind ever since she started exercising at a young age. But when she got the idea to jog in a faraway swamp, the hotheaded phoenix got carried away, and ended up tripping on a stone, falling headfirst into a bog. Normally, Scarlett would push herself up and carry on as usual, but the moment she tried to get up, she felt herself being sucked downward. The bog she fell into was quicksand, and it was swallowing her up. Her instincts told her to struggle, but it only seemed to cause her to sink even further. Eventually, the mud swallowed the phoenix up to her knees, leaving only her feet and talons to flail uselessly in the air. Scarlett's arms were rendered useless as they were completely submerged with the rest of her upper body, and she realized she would not be able to pull herself out on her own. She continues to hold her breath for as long as she can, hoping anyone notices her and helps pull her out from the muck, but the swamp she was in was distant and faraway from civilization, which made the chances of her being rescued slim. Unless someone miraculously comes and finds her, Scarlett could do nothing but squirm fruitlessly in the muck, flailing her feet around and wriggling and splaying her clawed toes, the only indications she was ever there...
