Just for the moment, I will start on spelling. I'll come back to do art commentary later. Pretty much just that 'herd' should be 'heard'. (Unless you're making a pun about Carrel being a sheep dog. :P )

What's 'sense-dep'?

Sensory-deprivation. The Insectis use it as a stronger form of solitary confinement.

I wondered if that might be what it meant.
So basically, you eat but don't taste it (possibly a good thing? :P), but you also don't know when you're full, when to use the bathroom, whether or not you just hammered your own finger, you can't see, hear, or smell....

Surely the insectis wouldn't deprive them of all sensation, and if so they'd have to lock them in a room for the safety of everyone. Which, while the lack of sensation would be incredibly unnerving, it would also technically be a time of rest (as if one could feel it...)/that they're not working. Unless the assumption is they'll be driven mad in the waiting.

A sense dep chamber is a two by three by five foot box with no light. There's a little shelf you can sit on, but the box is not quite big enough to curl up and lay down in, and too short to stand up in. Since you're not working, they give you minimal rations, which amounts to a bland sludge, something like stale cream of wheat made with water. You get a half cup of it three to four times a day at random intervals, so as not to provide a frame of reference for the time.

Sometimes, if you fall asleep, the Insectis put the box on it's side just to mess with you.

None of this is particularly relevant to the comic page, though. It's unpleasant, and the bugs give you three days of it for showing up in a day old shirt.

First off, I'm just going to say that I love Gabriel's prehensile tail. It's a nice little detail, and one that I'm sure comes in handy for him -- no pun intended! x3 (Oh who am I kidding, that pun was completely intentional.)

I also like the expressions; Gabriel's face while walking away, determined not to rise to Marcus' verbal attack, for example, stands out. Gabriel's face does seem to change in shape a lot from panel to panel, though. It's really apparent in panels 4 and 5; his jawline changes shape from something rather square to rounder and smoother. It's nothing big; maybe it just stands out to me because I've been working on drawing different face shapes for the past few days. ^^;

I'm really looking forward to the next page! Gabe looks pretty happy to see the gryphons, and I can't wait to see how they look in your style! :D
