Watch out for the angy sniper drek!
I have a feeling this was all pre planned with the decided likely situation was the Audit would be a bust. 'Quick dispose of the bodies and say the Audit never showed up!' .... Yikes that sounds evil XD
I am cringing at the slang of those two guards, Not because it bad but because how spot on you are with how it actually sounds in text. XP
Awesome work and stunning action effects, got the whole 0 to 100 motion sense of the scene turning into chaos.

It was definitely the contingency, If they couldn't slip by the audit, drop the auditors. Though thats not a permanent solution not at all, maybe not even a good one but its the one they picked!
Every time I ask Australians, New Guineans, and Zealanders about the accent the word Cunt seems to just keep appearing so it works well to slot it in when possible.
Seems like violence always happens without the benefit of warning alas

Mr. Breach might need a moment to reboot his brain after "That bullet just shattered my face-extension". Don't count on him to be of any help in this fight, he might even be a hindrance, distracting Mr. Audit by changing in front of him and driving home the consequences of being such an ass.
Its generally bad
They may not Õndemify if they can get some new PPE on quickly and if they're not too close to any mana.
And even if they do, mana doesn't leave a humans body so its just a permanent mark, meaning it will take a smaller exposure next time to fully Õndemify them.
So if they want to keep their human card, its bad

See, that's why you need to aim center mass. Aiming for the head is for Hollywood, not real shooting. And from the size of that spent cartridge, I'd say that's a .444 Marlin or .500 Nitro Express? That's definitely not head shooting material, that's for instantly turning large living things into large dead things.
Like buffalo, or elephants.
And sure, they might be wearing body armor? But with a round that big, it simply does not matter. It might be stopped by a IIIA vest if he's got a plate insert, but even then, he'd be knocked unconscious from the impact alone. Mind you, that's if he were to get hit head-on, with the ceramic plate taking the brunt of the impact. If they got hit from the side where the plate doesn't cover, or they aren't wearing a plate under the vest, then their internal organs will become distressingly external.
Auditor dude is damn lucky the round didn't rip his entire face off from the shockwave alone, nevermind the round.

It seems SEAC needs to reconsider their approach on colonies if they want to "get shit done". Seriously, competent distribution of resources and right approach with authority and with social aspect will do a lot of good things. And if they don't do that they will receive a lot of rioting colonies instead.
Also, ironically audit now probably considers himself right in his decision (despite situation), because "lies and rioting outpost". I can't help but have to wonder, what would have happened if the truth have been told to audit?

I mean they started off pretty efficient! Though this is some 40 years aftter the initial thrust of colonialism and decades after the difficult reality of colonizing the DragonScape made itself apparant.
This story is mostly set in the late Mid Awakening period which, for the colonial outposts, is mostly wrought with corruption, mutiny, and instability after decades of bureaucratic slog

Its vietnam all over again. Only i stead of them being in tree's its bamboo.
That shot on the mask also seemed too deliberate could've been aiming for the head but the fact they hit the exact outstretch of the PPE gear makes me think they were aiming for it. Regardless though you can probably consider it a headshot since the dude isn't likely going to be human for long, and having two security drek fit in a pretty small helicopter seems like it would be awkward... assuming that guy is conscious by the time they get there or if he turns.
Also seems like the others will need to get in close though to destroy the auditors PPE gear as it looks like its a tad bit more advanced and well put together compared to the Gas mask. Something also tells me the security there doesn't have the ammo either to spare for this fight, likely thanks to other audits prior.

Honestly as a person who has shot and helped other people learn to shoot, one of the biggest beginner mistakes of inexperienced shooters that I have seen is where people jerk the trigger, which tends to lurch it one way or the other. Generally the way I see it Mark was aiming for the head, jerked the trigger and the bullet when down and right.
The auditor himself? We will have to see, but for the moment gotta wrap up this whole skirmish! So we will see! But resource shortages are emblematic of the later stages of human colonial efforts. Very corrupt situation
