thanks! some of Seb's lines are his original in-game dialogues as an npc but I've worked them into situation and seems like they make more sense now. he's stiil very dramatic but Alex smoothes it over with her attitude

Lovely, melancholy dialogue. Alexa doesn't contest Seb's bleak metaphore for life-she just pours him a little coffee and a offers a reassuring, "Well, I did it and I'm not unhappy."

I have a lot of empathy with Seb, having spent many lonely visits to watch the ocean horizens. In many ways, the triumphant dawns don't touch you in the same way the drearier darks and greys can be reassuring. Such sombre settings can remind you that you are not the only one who has sadness and disappointments in life, rather that your downs are part of the human condition and they will pass. Seb seems to be passing through those phases in tune with the skies, and Alexandrina is perceptive enough to be comforting without being instrusive.

Reeeeallly good work on the colorations in these panels They set the tone for the moody transitions of our friends.

Simple Values is a fan comic based on indie game by ConcernedApe. I was playing as Alexandrina and Seb is one of non player characters of this game and you can get a dialogue if you interact with him on your playthrough

As always your dialogues are so fantastically written and harmoniously matched with the original story, plus the extra surprises and situations of your own making the story going so so fluid. 😁👍
I love the colors on every single panel here, and seeing how Alexandrina is capable to ease quite every dramatic thought of dear Seb thanks to her wise attitude (even while being busy at fishing) makes me wonder if... slowly, Seb is growing closer to Alex empathycally 🤔

I always like your art and the brilliant comics! Yeah, dear Seb seems pretty often disturbed from his family and neighbourhood as he would only desire to change his lifestyle and move to the city. Alex prefers to let him express his interests when he feels the time is good for it 😊

Your comparison of life as a surface skipping stone takes on more weight for someone about to turn seventy-seven, Seb. But then, in approaching that age, Alexa's gentle rejoiner also becomes additionally more poignant and valid.
