At work on Monday I found this pheasant chick in a ditch, the mother bird had flown or jumped across the ditch and a fence and was calling all the chicks to follow her and they were all tumbling down into the mud and water. I climbed down and scooped up the chicks and put them with the mother who was waiting on the other side of the fence, but this one had gotten cold and was barely moving. I went away into the sun and warmed it up by holding it and breathing on it, it started to revive and began moving and cheeping and looking around so I went back to give it to the mother but she'd moved on with her other babies and I couldn't find her, so I took this baby home with me.

It is growing and developing very quickly, on the first day it couldn't even stand up for more than a second, but now it runs around and jumps and is growing it's first wing feathers :)
