I was searching for good novels about Sasquatch (I find it better than Bigfoot) and so I found the fantasy adventure novel "Sasquatch" by William Salyers published in 2014.
Summary
In a hidden place lives prehistoric animals and sasquatches.
The female Sasquatch Zulia lost her child and then she goes into the forbidden world of the humans (the sasquatches knows the humans as the hairless others) to find a replacement for her deceased child.
She find a six month old human infant and abducted him. Much to the horror of the parents Graham and Margaret Arness.
The sasquatches agree (with misgivings) that Zulia can keep and raise the human child. Zulia gives the child the name Ab ("Small One" in the language of the sasquatches).
About twenty years later, Ab grows up into a six foot four inches tall, two hundred and thirty pound and extremely muscular young man with the senses and reflexes of a wild predator cat.
He has the love of his sasquatch mother Zulia but for the clan he is too small (the normal height of sasquatches is between seven and eight feet) and too hairless. Ab thinks he is a freak among the sasquatches.
But after Zulia is mortally wounded by a sabertooth tiger, she confesses to Ab that she has abducted him from another world and belongs to the hairless ones.
After her death Ab leaves the prehistoric world and goes to the human world. He is found by a team of scientists and he meets his biological parents Graham and Margaret Arness (who at first do not want to believe that the big muscular wild man is their missing son). Ab (his birth name is Graham Jr.) must learn to be a civilized human. He does not know if he is more human or more sasquatch...
My Opinion
The novel is very worth reading and pleasing for all fans of Bigfoot/Sasquatch, The Jungle Book (by Rudyard Kipling), The Lost World (by Arthur Conan Doyle), Tarzan (by Edgar Rice Burroughs) and Jurassic Park (by Michael Crichton).
