:D Awesome! You're so lucky, I'd love to see one in the wild. I know they're just a different areas answer to the raccoon, and that they're relatively common. BUT THEY'RE AWESOME! I was able to keep three of them in my apartment for awhile, because we HAD to socialize them away from their very protective parents. It was Awful ;)
Definitely lucky on that. It was a lone male hunting around; luckily I was high up, so he didn't even realize I was there at the time. I had never even heard of a coatimundi when I saw him! They're not well known in the USA, from what I can tell.

My roommate was almost quits with me, he's not so much into animals(laughs) they pretty much run and climb nonstop and love pulling on your clothes and hair and trying to find their way into your mouth and eyes. Pretty much if they can get in to it they are trying to, luckily we had a balcony with a concrete wall on the second floor, so we could leave them to run around outside at night.
