This was last week as I was driving home from work and just as the storm was starting. Yeah I know I shouldn't be taking pics as I drive but to see the intensity of the storm grow as the farther I traveled was too much to resist I gonna post more.

You should put the camera on a tripod on the passenger seat and set the intervalometer (of course, you camera has to have one) and then you can photograph your journeys in whatever interval length you wish.
I tried it for a 1 hour trip to a friend's place, taking a picture every fifteen seconds then splicing them together.
