This Ibanez Concord is the first guitar I ever bought for myself back around 1976 or so. I drove past this stone wall just a couple miles from my house and thought it would make a great background.
If you look through my gallery, it is apparent that I like shooting closeups of musical instruments. But for my second book of guitar photos, I decided to get them out “in the wild” for for some full-body photos.

You have something quite special there; a very early descendant of the so-called "lawsuit guitars" that gained Ibanez a bit of fame in the mid 70s.
GUITAR NERD TRIVIA: Ibanez's early guitars were superbly crafted and scrupulously careful replicas of classic American guitars, especially high-end Gibsons. Even the font of the headstock logo was the same; one had to look closely to see that it spelled Ibanez.
Gibson told Ibanez to alter the designs or face legal action.
Your guitar is probably one of the first ones to be subtly altered; the headstock profile differs from Gibson's enough to distinguish the two. Otherwise, it's a spot-on copy of a black Gibson Hummingbird.
Ibanez would, of course, soon create their own unique designs and go on to become a highly regarded guitar maker in their own right.

Yeah, I’m familiar with Ibanez’s lawsuit era. This particular guitar was built in Japan. I think most are now built in Indonesia and/or Korea. The guitar shop where I bought this had one in a cherry finish that I wanted badly. But by the time I saved up for it, that one was gone. I still love this guitar though and I keep my eyes open for a 12-string just like it.
The Hoshino Gakki company began in 1908 as the musical instrument sales division of the Hoshino Shoten, a bookstore chain. Hoshino Gakki decided in 1935 to make Spanish-style acoustic guitars, at first using the “Ibanez Salvador” brand name in honor of Spanish luthier Salvador Ibanez, and later simply Ibanez.
Eric Clapton has owned several original guitars of Ibáñez, one of which was sold at a benefit auction in 1999 obtaining a final price of US$42,000.
