While running across the flatlands, she pointed out where I should go. But otherwise, we didn't talk much. Both of us were mentally exhausted at that point, I believe.

Soon, the lights of the ranch appeared in the distance, and I slowed down a bit.
Upon arriving and walking through the entrance of the vicinity, a little girl came running out of the house and towards us, calling out to her mother. Said one hopped off me and hugged her daughter tightly.
In the next moment, a man with a rifle in his hands came out of the house, presumably her husband, and half asleep still. But upon seeing his wife safe and sound, he was wide awake, joining the family hug.
Upon seeing me, they assumed that I was Thunderhoof at first. But me and the mother had to put things right and said that I'm a friend of Thunderhoof. When being asked of what they could do for me as a repayment, I told them that the hotelier of the hotel in the town re-directed me to them as I was looking for a place to stay the night. The father said it was a matter of course since I helped his family. He asked me if I wanted to take a bath too. I happily agreed to that.
So while the daughter and her mother help me to get clean, the father prepared a stall in the stable for me.

In the end, I was just glad to get some rest. This day was more eventful than i expected.
We said goodnight to each other before I stepped into my prepared stall and laid down for the night.
