You look up in the air and behold: the four-fingered paw of a European red squirrel hovering over your face. An aura of menacing yet non-threatening energy washes over you. The beans descend toward you, the details and the squishiness becoming more and more noticeable as the distance closes, until contact is made. The squirrel pets you. And he squeaks a little. He feels good.
My server did a fun little thing on April 1 this year by changing the name from Beyond the Maw to Beyond the Paw, including changing the server banner and icon to paw-related artses. Shenanigans ensued. There was not much planning beyond that, but several people joined the fun, and none other than Murkey even made some ads for paw-related artwork on the server. I think they were intended to be jokey, but uhhh... yeah as you can see, I was legitimately excited. XD I ordered this almost immediately, and then snagged both of the "YPH" (your paw here) artworks they posted a couple hours later. And goodness gracious I can't believe how good they turned out. This is one of my favorite emojis now haha
Also yes, this is what squirrel paws look like. Some minor artistic liberties, of course, but they really don't have thumbs. And the pawpad pattern is a little different from other animals. I think it's super cute!
