The model 638 is a variation of the model 38 bodyguard that integrates the time tested features of the original with modern advancements and if you want to fool a vigilante eye or carry without arousing suspicion, you just can’t beat a snubnose revolver. A few times I forgot I had it in my pocket!
However I personally don’t prefer wheel guns, it’s nothing personal.
Shit you could be running a 44 magnum and that would damn well stop someone in their tracks.
But only having five shots? No thank you.

I got shot by a .25ACP in a drive-by. I didn't even know I got hit til somebody pointed out I was bleeding. Round only went in less than a half inch in my thigh. I put more faith in the lowly .22LR for penetration!
I owned a Jennings .25ACP I bought for $25 at a gunshow, flipped it at the same show for $50. Utterly useless round!
